Checkingthegassupply
1. Checkthemanometerzeropointiscorrect.
2. Connectthemanometertothecooktoppressurepoint.
Thisislocatedontheregulator.
3. Turnonthegassupplyandelectricityandtrytoignite
thegas.
NOTE! It will take additional time to light the gas for the first
time as air needs to be purged from the pipes.
4. Withtheapplianceoperatingchecktheoutletpressure
• whenallburnersoftheapplianceareoperatingat
maximum,
• whenthesmallestburneroftheapplianceis
operatingatminimum.
Undertheseconditionstheoutletpressureshouldnot
varyfromthenominaloutletpressureof1.00kPaby
morethan
±
0.20kPa.
Iftheregulatorappearstonotbeperformingsatisfactorily,
thencheckthefollowingpoints.
1. Iftheoutletpressureisconsistentlytoolowthenthe
inletpressuremaybetoolowandadjustmentofan
upstreamregulatormaybeneeded,oranupstream
regulatororvalvewithinsufficientflowcapacitymay
bepresentinthegassupplyline.Ifthisissuspected
thenitmaybenecessarytorepeatthecheckswhilst
measuringboththeinletandoutletpressureto
determineiftheinletpressureisintherange
1.13–5kPa.
2. Checkthattheregulatorhasbeenfittedtothegas
supplylineinthecorrectorientation,thearrowonthe
baseofthebodyindicatesthedirectionofgasflow.
Oncethesecheckshavebeencompleted,iftheregulator
stillfailstoperforminasatisfactorymanneritshouldbe
replaced.

LPConversion–Important
This appliance is fitted with Natural Gas
burner injectors.
Pleasefollowtheprocedurebelowifaconversiontosuit
LPgasisrequired.
TheconversionkitcontainsappropriateLPGinjectorsand
1LPGsticker.
1. Removethehotplateburnerstoaccessthehotplate
injectors.ReplacethefactoryfittedNGinjectorswiththe
appropriateinjectors,assupplied(seeTable3).
2. Unscrewthehexnutfromtheregulator.Thehexnut,
brasswasherandnyloninsertwilldisengageasan
assembly.
3. Unclipthenyloninsertandnutassemblybyrotatingthe
insert¼turn,andpullingitfree.
4. Turnovertheinsertandclipbackintoposition.
5. Refitthehexnutassemblytotheregulatorensuringthat
itisfullyscreweddown.Theregulatorisnowsetfor
connectiontoLP.
6. Turnonthegassupplyandateachnewconnection
checkforleaksusingsoapywater:eachhotplatevalve
shouldbeturnedon,oneatatime,andtheinjector
holeblankedoffforseveralseconds.
7. Theoperationoftheregulatorcanbeconfirmedby
connectingamanometertothepressuretestpoint
locatedonthesideoftheregulatorbodyadjacentto
theoutlet.
Withtheapplianceoperatingchecktheoutletpressure
• whenallburnersoftheapplianceareoperating
atmaximum,
• whenthesmallestburneroftheapplianceisoperating
atminimum.
Undertheseconditionstheoutletpressureshouldnotvary
fromthenominaloutletpressureof2.60kPabymorethe
+/-0.52kPa.
8. Iftheregulatorappearstonotbeperforming
satisfactorilythencheckthefollowingpoints.
• Iftheoutletpressureisconsistentlytoolowthenthe
inletpressuremaybetoolowandadjustmentofan
upstreamregulatormaybeneeded,oranupstream
regulatororvalvewithinsufficientflowcapacitymay
bepresentinthegassupplyline.Ifthisissuspected
thenitmaybenecessarytorepeatthecheckswhilst
measuringboththeinletandoutletpressureto
determineiftheinletpressureisintherange
2.75–7.00kPa.
