8. VACUUM PACKAGING FOR FOOD PRESERVATION
Removing air preserves food for longer periods.
Food preservation table
The following table shows the preservation time of vacuum food. Please remember
that times are indicative.
Indicative food preservation time
At room temperature (+20° / +25°C)
Refrigerated at +3° / +5°C
Times refer to fresh food stored correctly
before vacuum packaging.
For cooked food, times refer to food
refrigerated immediately after vacuum
packaging.
In the event of refrigerated food, make
sure that the refrigerator can reach and
maintain the required temperature.
We always recommend checking the
condition of the food before you eat it
after a prolonged preservation.
